R&D Sustaining's responsibility is to develop and improve our current Liko product portfolio. This means leading various projects with the goals of increasing customer satisfaction, increasing product quality, optimizing product design, and strengthening the competitiveness of our products. The engineers at R&D are a team of experts and support the production, quality department and other functions with their technical expertise and product knowledge.

Purpose

The Golvo ™ patient lift was designed in the mid 80´s.

Golvo™ patient lift has a friction brake solution that keeps the patient from descending to the floor.

The friction brake solution has limitations when it´s subjected to continuous operation.

Goals

Identify/define the function of the brake solution. Which parameters affects the function.

Identify limitations such as material choice, material deviations, temperature, grease quantities and quality, surface finish.

Identify a solution for a robust design.

The patient lift shall be compliant with standard requirements.

Estimated Duration and compensation

30 hp starting by agreement.

An economic compensation will be handed out after the thesis is complete.
