Authorised Person (Electrical)

We are seeking an experienced Authorised Person (Electrical) to join our dynamic team, overseeing Electrical Engineers and Supervisors to ensure electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation and compliance of Electrical Safe Systems of Work, coordinating closely with Site Management.
• Issue and manage permits for all energized electrical activities.
• Review and interpret project specifications and technical drawings.
• Ensure strict adherence to operational procedures and High Voltage Safety Rules.
• Manage safety documentation and oversee lock-out/tag-out processes.
• Coordinate closely with Testing & Commissioning contractors to develop and execute test procedures.
• Facilitate effective system handover in collaboration with Control System providers (SCADA/BMS/EMS).
• Support initial equipment start-up, energization, and testing, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Attend regular project meetings to report progress and coordinate activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as an Authorised Electrical Person or similar role.
• Thorough knowledge of Electrical Safe Systems of Work and High Voltage Safety Rules.
• Strong understanding of electrical protection systems, switchgear topology, and testing/commissioning practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and team leadership skills.
