About us
Our Computer Science units in Luleå are growing and we are now looking for a team member to join us and work as a project manager and researcher. This role includes management responsibility for research and innovation projects and partnerships. We welcome candidates open to combining management with research in applied AI, data platforms, distributed computing and edge-cloud. In Luleå, we operate Europe's leading data center laboratory, and our research and innovation activities range from ground to cloud. Together with partners and customers from industry and academia we develop sustainable and energy-efficient systems and software for cloud services, telecom edge networks, data innovation platforms and more.

About the role
As a project manager and researcher in our team, you get the opportunity to work in a growing and leading institute with great development opportunities. You will be an important team player, working in close cooperation with team members, other project managers, partners and customers. In your role as project manager and researcher, you will primarily work with projects and business relationships in an international context, software platforms and services for companies in AI, development of new ideas for distributed software systems. For these areas, you will work with development and lead research and innovation projects. You will leading projects and participate in the development of solutions and strategies for AI, high-performance computing, Big data, software systems, data platforms, and edge-cloud. The assignments have great variety, which brings new exciting opportunities every week. The position is a permanent full-time employment. The workplace is in Luleå.

Who are you?
As a project manager and researcher with us, we believe that you are a passionate and solution-oriented person who likes to take on new opportunities. As the role involves contact with customers, international partners and other stakeholders, we believe that you thrive in social contexts and like to transform ideas into practical use and understanding. Through your understanding and flexible way of working, you come to your right in an environment that is dynamic. You have a master's degree in engineering or equivalent, preferably with a focus on AI, software and/or IT systems. It is an advantage if you have a few years' work experience in mainly service, product or software development and project management. We prefer candidates with strong oral and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
