LTU ARC is a platform for cross-disciplinary research at the intersection of art and science. An overarching ambition in LTU ARC is the creation of forms for cross-disciplinary and artistic co-creation. The foundation of the LTU ARC is two research clusters that explore overlapping thematic areas. These form a framework for a joint research school that introduces new PhD students to exploratory research practices in interaction with senior researchers and artists. LTU ARC initiates research collaboration within the university as well as nationally and internationally. LTU ARC is also a platform for the university's collaboration with and development of cultural life in Norrbotten. An external advisory committee guarantees the platform's relevance and anchoring among institutions in northern Sweden.
