HSE Lead

Presentation:

The HSE Lead is responsible for overseeing all health, safety, and environmental aspects of the steel construction site. This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and industry best practices to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific HSE plans and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
• Promote a strong safety culture through engagement and visible leadership.
• Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies on HSE matters.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
• Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics and KPIs.
• Support emergency preparedness and response planning.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001).
• Proven experience in a similar HSE role within the construction or steel industry.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Work Environment:

• Primarily site-based with exposure to outdoor conditions and construction activities.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
