What you’ll do
Right now, we are looking for a Systems Engineer for our Energy and Power Management team. In this role you will report to Head of Energy & Power Distribution.
As Systems Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the plant’s critical systems, ensuring they run smoothly, securely, and efficiently every day. This role goes beyond technical expertise - it’s about being the vital connector between energy management, power distribution, automation, and IT/OT environments. You’ll play a key part in shaping reliable operations while driving smarter, more sustainable solutions that make a real impact.
Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well.
- Operate, maintain, and optimize critical systems such as energy management, automation, SCADA/DCS, and IT/OT integrations.
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of HV/MV power distribution, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Drive improvements in reliability, safety, efficiency, and cybersecurity across all systems.
- Provide technical expertise and support to operations staff while keeping accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with teams and suppliers to enhance system performance and support plant projects.
What you’ll bring
You’re curious and believe that real progress happens when we work together. You’re not afraid to challenge old ways of thinking - and you treat others with respect while doing it. At Stegra, we value people who take initiative, build trust, and help create a workplace where everyone can do their best.
Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Internet, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in operating and maintaining systems in industrial or energy environments.
- Strong knowledge of automation and control systems (SCADA, MICRO SCADA, PCS7, EMS) and understanding of HV/MV power distribution.
- Experience with IT/OT interfaces, cybersecurity, and system integration.
- Fluent in English, with Swedish considered an advantage.
