Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to work as Test and Launch Operations Engineer (f/m/d). Description

  • Serve as on-console test and flight controllers during launch and test events
  • Test integrated rocket hardware to determine acceptability for flight
  • Take ownership of entire life-cycle of test systems and articles for the RFA ONE Launcher
  • Integration, troubleshooting and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic

  • Perform data reviews to evaluate the performance of launch/test article and stand systems (software,
  • fluid, structural, thermal, electrical).
  • Find innovative ways to create, review, and optimize test & launch processes/procedures to increase
  • test system capability and cadence.
  • Manage the execution of projects within extremely short timelines
  • Align resources to accomplish key objectives, assign clear accountability for important objectives
  • Use various testing, analysis, modelling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system

Qualifications

  • Higher education in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly around RFAs test and launch sites
  • Excellent understanding of staged-combustion liquid rocket engines and launch vehicles
  • Excellent knowledge of physics, fluid dynamics, engineering materials and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with analytical data review tools and numerical methods to solve real world problems (Git, NI
  • LabVIEW, MS Office)
  • Experience with instrumentation: pressure, temperature, piezoelectric, strain gauge, load cells,
  • flowmeters
  • Hands-on experience in test operations preferably for propulsion projects
  • Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
