What you’ll do

We are now recruiting an Operation Security Lead for our Safety department in Boden Operations. In this role you will report to our Security and Investigations Manager and work within our Health, safety and security function. The team is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and security and support the assurance of health and safe and effective operations in all areas and facilities in the organization.

The Operational Security Lead is responsible for coordinating the daily operations and management of the Physical Security Operations Center (SOC). This includes alarm monitoring, incident management, coordinating staff, and coordinate between various security functions. In this role you'll work with ensuring that security procedures are followed, incidents are managed effectively, and that the organization maintains a high level of security.

With this role you'll join the organization at an early stage and will together with the manager launch the security and investigations side of Stegras operation in the right direction. You'll be involved in strategical and operational decisions within this function and overarching the entire organization.

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the Physical SOC.
  • Take lead on the development of SOC processes, workflows, and technical solutions.
  • Ensure alarm handling, incident reporting, and response processes follow established procedures.
  • Provide operational leadership and coordination of alarm operators, administrators, reception/front desk staff, and security guards.

  • Conduct risk assessments and propose corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of security operations.
  • Coordinate training, onboarding, and competence development within the team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including police, fire and rescue services, and suppliers.

What you’ll bring

You’re curious and believe that real progress happens when we work together. You’re not afraid to challenge old ways of thinking - and you treat others with respect while doing it. At Stegra, we value people who take initiative, build trust, and help create a workplace where everyone can do their best.

As a person you possess strong communication and leadership skills. You have the ability to remain composed and make clear, timely decisions in high-stress or critical situations. You're skilled at assessing complex situations, identifying risks, and implementing practical solutions. Related to this role you should possess a strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality, and commitment to maintaining trust in all security-related matters.

Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below

Must have:

  • Documented experience in physical security, SOC operations, or incident management.
  • Experience in leading operational security personnel.
  • Leadership experience in alarm/control room environments.

Meritable but not must have:

This is Stegra

Stegra is on a mission to change the global steel industry by producing green hydrogen, iron, and steel - with the goal of eliminating CO₂ emissions. Instead of coal, we use green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity, meaning our primary emissions will be water and heat.

But this is just the beginning. Our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize industries beyond steel, paving the way for a cleaner future.
