With an investment of €4.5 billion approved by our Board of Directors, Luleå is set to become our next site for fossil-free steel production. The new Luleå mill will boast a capacity of 2.5 million tons per year, featuring state-of-the-art facilities including electric arc furnaces, advanced secondary metallurgy, a direct strip rolling mill, and a cold rolling complex. This transformation will support the mobility segment with premium products, driving our mission towards a sustainable future.

Main responsibilities

• Define and oversee the deployment of procurement tactics, with a focus on market analysis, supply chain capacity, risk assessment, procurement packaging, contract models and the pursuit of cost optimization.
• Initiate pre-qualification for suppliers and contractors, navigate RFx procedures, assess proposals, and sustain partnerships with suppliers.
• Manage the contracting process, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies in . collaboration with legal and contract management teams.
• Lead negotiations and negotiation teams.
• Work closely with project managers and Project Buyers to ensure deadlines and project schedules are met, contributing to procurement procedure updates and best practices.
• Cultivate and sustain robust partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, developing and delivering content to guide decision-making processes.

About You

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management).
• 7+ years of experience in construction procurement activities, particularly on large, multi-year projects.
• Proven capability in guiding teams, mediating agreements, and interactively engaging, with a background in handling supplier partnerships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
• Self-motivated, process-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
