About the position

With an investment of €4.5 billion approved by our Board of Directors, Luleå is set to become our next site for fossil-free steel production. The new Luleå mill will boast a capacity of 2.5 million tons per year, featuring state-of-the-art facilities including electric arc furnaces, advanced secondary metallurgy, a direct strip rolling mill, and a cold rolling complex. This transformation will support the mobility segment with premium products, driving our mission towards a sustainable future.

Main responsibilities

• Setup, track and administrate RFx (RFI/RFP/RFQ) process in procurement tools.
• Contribute in on-board of contractors and suppliers in accordance to SSAB’s onboarding processes and tools (supplier pre-qualification).
• Coordinate, draft and place purchase orders in accordance with agreed contracts, schedules and payment milestones. Ensure purchase orders are confirmed and fully understood by receiving parties, solve any. discrepancies.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement Managers and Project Managers to ensure deadlines and project schedules are met, contributing to procurement procedure updates and best practices.
• Assist, as needed, in contractor and supplier negotiations as agreed with Procurement Manager.

About You

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management).
• 7+ years of experience in construction purchasing activities.
• Good understanding of processes for purchasing capital equipment, bulk construction materials, contract works packages such as installation is a benefit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement software.
• Process-oriented with solid time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work under minimal supervision.
